Our Discovery Project is designed specifically for 14-19-year-olds who have autism spectrum conditions.
The project consists of fortnightly mentoring sessions that bring the students together on campus. In addition to developing social and communication skills, they learn about university in a relaxed and sociable setting.
The project culminates with a two-day residential summer school focussed on developing key skills to thrive at university, such as living independently, budgeting and working with others.
We also run Discovery Visit Day, an open day specifically for young people with autism spectrum conditions. During this event, students are given the opportunity to have a tour of the campus and learn about the support available to students studying at Cardiff University.
